Commissioned by my client, Georgia in Maryland. I was inspired by two extant 1860’s corsets and created an original work that I think borrows the best features of both museum pieces. Georgia participates in historical Civil War reenactments and will wear this corset as part of a suite of undergarments in her costume.

This corset was created for my client Gina, in Texas. Gina is attending a Civil War reenacting event where she will will this corset as part of a period costume ensemble. This version is made of silk, trimmed with cotton lace, and features a large quantity of hand embroidery with silk thread. Notice the couture detail of the silk embroidered eyelet for the busk loops.
