Collaborative Work In Progress

I have been working for many months in collaboration with a performer to create a corset for her to wear in her act. I recently finished my portion of the work and wanted to show you our progress on this interesting corset. I have photographed it with paper panels temporarily attached to it so you can see the overall intended design. The final piece will have metal panels attached to it which the client is having made. It was really quite a challenge to create the exacting placement of the metal panels and I must admit my heart was in my throat as I cut the holes through the body of the corset in order to attach the panels! One wrong move and a lot of hard work would have been wasted…

I think it looks very industrial and chic, and I really look forward to seeing photos of the corset being worn in my client’s performances. More photos behind the cut…
